Athletic Area

The newly built Athletic Area is a prestigious sports and leisure centre for football and athletics. Embedded in a beautiful panorama, the Athletic Area serves as the home of FC Schladming, as a training centre for schools and as a training camp for national and international teams.

The altitude of 740 metres above sea level, pleasant temperatures for training sessions and the additional sports, leisure and hotel facilities are the best conditions for training camps and perfect team building.

The high-quality equipment of the training centre guarantees optimal training conditions that also focus on the safety of the athlete(s). The Athletic Area can be reached directly from the Ennstalstraße B 320 via the new exit to the east of Schladming, which leads directly to the visitor car park for approx. 100 cars.

The Athletic Area extends over an area of approx. 3.5 hectares in the eastern part of the town, directly in the local recreation area of Schladming. At the centre of the Athletic Area is a multifunctional grandstand with seating for approx. 500 people and standing room for 200 people.

As a venue for sporting events outside of training, the Athletic Area offers a wide range of possibilities. Friendly football matches in conjunction with the local training camps and those in the surrounding area (Irdning, Flachau, Leogang, etc.) are therefore just one of several possibilities.

This market segment includes the organisation of hobby tournaments as well as the use of the facility as a start or finish area or as an event venue.

• Main pitch
• The main pitch, measuring 105 x 68 metres, is equipped with turf from the specialist company Rasen-Richter.
• Training pitch
• The training pitch, measuring 105 x 68 metres, is covered with artificial turf of the ‘FIFA 1 Star’ certification class.
• Running track
• The 400 metre running track surrounds the artificial turf pitch and has four lanes.
