Theater: Zur Rettung der Blasmusik

Three performers with relevant experience in brass music are coming together to save it. How exactly, they don’t know themselves – but since they are already there, they might as well save: culture, folk culture, or perhaps simply the community.

Between marching formations and waltzes, protocol poetry and club outings, the production humorously navigates urban-rural divides, club life, and traditions in a changing world. The poetry of the protocol is honored, as is the marching formation, the report from the club outing, or the most beautiful waltz of the spring concert – in any case, those parts that people still remember.

“To Save Brass Music” is a musical theater work with live music that looks with great ease and a clear perspective on belonging, community, and intimacy – on what disappears, what remains, and what we continue to carry out of conviction.
