Traditional mountain mass at Glattjoch with Mr. Domkurat Mag. Stefan Jagoschütz, musically accompanied by the Oberwölz brass quartet.

The Glattjoch chapel in honor of St. Virgil is the highest sacred building in Europe and the oldest chapel in Styria.

Information Transfer

  • Departure at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to Glattalm
  • Meeting point at the barrier Riedleralm (4 km from the town center) heading into the valley
  • Access with private vehicles not permitted

Ascent via marked trails from Glattalm to Glattjoch: approx. 1.5 hours walking time

Hiking boots, cold and rain protection, as well as bringing provisions are recommended.

The event only takes place in nice weather!
