Deepfakes und Demokratie - Dachstein Dialoge 2026
Markus Reisner, Ingrid Brodnig, and Nina Vaupotic discuss deepfakes, disinformation, and the influence of digital manipulation on democracy and society at the Dachstein Dialogues 2026.
The Dachstein Dialogues 2026 invite you to inspiring encounters, lectures, discussions, and concerts in Ramsau am Dachstein and Filzmoos from September 18 to 24, 2026. Under the motto “What Can I Trust?”, the international festival for tolerance connects societal dialogue, culture, and current future questions with the impressive mountain backdrop of the Schladming-Dachstein region.
With “Deepfakes and Democracy”, visitors can expect a very current discussion about strategic disinformation, digital manipulation, and the influence of social media on societal trust. Military analyst Colonel Markus Reisner, social media expert Ingrid Brodnig, and media scientist Nina Vaupotic will discuss how targeted misinformation can amplify uncertainty and polarization, undermining trust in media, politics, and institutions. At the same time, it will address possible responses to these developments – from media literacy to transparent communication to societal resilience.
The Dachstein Dialogues thus create a space for new perspectives, societal exchange, and current debates in a special atmosphere.
