Das Theaterland Special: Bitte spiel mich!

“PLEASE PLAY ME! (AT) – Episode 36: Hotel Heimat – The Theaterland Special” will take place on July 18 and 19, 2026, each starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gsöllhof in Weißenbach near Haus im Ennstal.

The interactive theater format from Das Planetenparty Prinzip makes the audience the director of the evening and ensures a unique theater experience as part of the Theatertage Weißenbach.

What happens on stage is exclusively decided by the audience: Using walkie-talkies, the viewers control every action and spoken word of the performers. Divided into teams, they assign tasks, collect points, and influence the course of the story. Moderator David Valentek leads the evening with a lot of humor and surprising twists, making each performance a unique experience.

The event is especially aimed at teenagers and adults who wish to experience theater differently, enjoy co-creating, and appreciate spontaneous, humorous, and unusual stage experiences.

For the Theatertage Weißenbach, "Hotel Heimat" is a specially developed edition of the successful format.

At the center are themes that move the Schladming-Dachstein tourism region: the coexistence of locals and guests, new perspectives for work and lifestyle, as well as questions around home and community. The content was developed in collaboration with the village community of Weißenbach and will be brought to the stage by performers from the region. As real avatars, they are available to the audience, which actively determines the course of the evening. This creates a unique connection between theater, regional stories, and direct involvement.
