The Crib of Styria!
On the first two Advent weekends, the romantic place Pürgg transforms into a festive "crib". A unique Advent market moves into the houses and enchants its visitors year after year.

At the Advent in Pürgg, you won’t find any “stands” in the traditional sense. The exhibitors present their diverse, traditional crafts in the stables, garages, barns, and houses of the picturesque little village.

A wide-ranging supporting program – such as baking and crafting with children, visits to the landscape crib Fahringer, musical performances and readings in the parish church, traditional Krampus games, the Glöckler run, tours at the Johannes chapel, or a living nativity – allows Pürgg and its visitors to sink into an incomparable idyll and Christmas atmosphere on the first two Advent weekends.

Arrival by car
If you're traveling to the Advent market by car, simply turn off from the B 145 to Pürgg, where the fire department will take over the guidance. There are only limited parking spaces available in the village itself; if these are filled, further parking is available along the old federal road from Untergrimming to Lessern. To keep waiting times as short as possible, a shuttle bus runs approximately every 15 minutes from eight stops to Pürgg. The last departure of the shuttle bus from Pürgg is at 7:30 PM. 

• A small contribution for parking in Pürgg is € 5.00 per car.
• For the shuttle bus, € 3.00 per person (children ride free) is to be paid.

• No registration of the bus group is necessary.
• A contribution of € 25.00 per bus will be collected regardless of the number of people.

Arrival by train
The Advent in Pürgg is also easily accessible by train. After disembarking at Pürgg station (line Stainach-Irdning – Attnang-Puchheim), a roughly ten-minute, slightly uphill walk leads directly to the town center. The path is cleared, salted, and illuminated until midnight – making the approach on foot pleasant and safe.
