Mountain Christmas in Schladming: A Festival for the Senses

From November 27 to December 20, 2026, Schladming will once again transform into a magical winter wonderland – all in the spirit of the Christ Child and its diligent helpers.

Experience the magical atmosphere at the Advent Stage, where local artists provide a festive mood with their performances. Young visitors can write their wishes to the Christ Child at the Angel Post Office and look forward to a varied children's program. The numerous stalls and diverse gastronomy invite you to stroll and enjoy, creating a delightful ambiance.

But that's not all! In and around Schladming you can expect further pre-Christmas events that will enhance your anticipation for the Festival of Love.

Advent Stage
At the central Advent Stage of “Advent am Talbach”, we offer a diverse program of various artists from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, including traditional games by the Schladming students, various choirs, musical children, brass players, and much more.

• The food stalls are open until 9:00 PM

Decorate the Christmas Tree!
We warmly invite you to experience the Advent am Talbach together. A charming atmosphere awaits you with a beautiful Christmas tree that we will decorate together.

Please feel free to bring your own decorations from home to give the tree a personal touch – whether homemade or purchased, as long as it’s colorful and beautiful.

Decoration can take place between November 27 to December 20, 2026, each Friday to Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Follow the path through the Light Arch, past the stalls that enchant you with their scents and sounds, into the back upper area of the Advent Market – and you'll arrive at the “Christmas Tree Square”.
