The sunshine farm is located on an atmospheric hill surrounded by mountains, with a fantastic view of one of the most beautiful alpine landscapes in the heart of Austria.
In summer there are countless opportunities for hiking, climbing or cycling and, by the way, exploring the most beautiful corners of the area, such as the Gesäuse National Park, the Dachstein or the Salzkammergut.
As a special treat, we offer a trip to our Alm, where you can get a deep insight into the Totenberge mountains by the campfire. Then a dip in the “warmest alpine lake in Styria” just a few minutes away ensures the perfect end to the day.
In winter there are numerous ski areas such as the Schladming World Cup, the Planneralm, the Riesneralm or the Tauplitzalm. The Planneralm and Riesneralm can be reached in 35 minutes by public transport and we offer you a pick-up service from the bus/train station.
Our guests, especially the children, are regularly invited to come with us to the cowshed and to help feed the animals, milk them, muck out, groom them, hop in the hay, collect eggs, taste fresh milk, ... We have made it our task to meet our animals at eye level despite keeping livestock. That's why we converted our cattle farm to free-range stables with an exercise area a few years ago. From April to October the animals are on the pasture. Our chickens can roam freely and the ducks have a fenced area in the garden with their own pool. This creates a special rural idyll, which is very much appreciated by our guests.
It is also important to me to maintain our food sovereignty. Milk is processed into mozzarella and quark as a hobby, jams and chutneys are made from our fruits. I have a special passion for the alchemy of juices, spirits and beer! In between, fresh farmhouse breads are baked again and again! In our community, we grow outdoor vegetables with several families and share the harvest among themselves. Therefore, there is also a lot to discover on the farm for vegetarians and vegans.
The orchard is our place of power, which is why I have created our own camping area where you can feel the power of the old trees far away from the noise. A place to walk barefoot through the meadows, get pensive around the campfire and roast delicious corn on the cob, or maybe just read a book in the hammock and watch the beautiful scenery.
In the medium term, there will be a room for seminars with a covered outdoor kitchen, a yurt, a toilet, an outdoor spiral shower and an open seminar room that leads directly into the orchard. Here people should find their way back to their natural strength and be trained in various seminars to improve their health. E.g. training for happiness, herbal seminars, yoga seminars, drum workshops, constellation work, outdoor pedagogic courses, power place hikes and much more.
As a special "delicacy" I have an alpine hut that offers a deep view of the Grimming and the Dead Mountains. A place of retreat, of silence, of meditation, of simple life, where community is experienced. Wood is being chopped for the campfire and the running water from the spring can be heard in the background. You stand in the outdoor shower and watch the Grimming (local mountain), the Alpine landscape, the cows and the forest. It is an energizing place for forest education seminars, sunrise tours and star walks.

-Weekend trips are cheaper in the low season, as a short overnight stay is only charged up to the second night!
-In the high season, the short-night flat rate drops until the 3rd night and disappears completely from the 4th night onwards!
-The price is reduced if more people sleep in the apartment/room,
-Rooms can be booked with central kitchen use!
-Rooms without culinary offerings or central use of the kitchen cannot be booked!
