The Scharlinger Alm is located at 1,150 metres above sea level on Hauser Kaibling – in a stunning secluded setting, surrounded by the mountains of the Schladming-Dachstein region. Up here, you’ll find peace, nature, and plenty of space to spend quality time together.
Our spacious self-catering mountain lodge with 270 m² of living space accommodates up to 20 guests and is perfect for large families, groups of friends, or special occasions where being together truly matters. Cooking together, spending long evenings in the cosy living room, laughing, gathering around the table and creating lasting memories – that’s what this place is all about.
In winter, you can step right outside and onto your skis – ski-in / ski-out at Hauser Kaibling. In summer, hiking trails and mountain adventures begin directly at your doorstep. No traffic. No crowds. Just mountains, freedom, and that special feeling of being far away while feeling exactly where you belong.
The Scharlinger Alm is not a place for perfection. It’s a place for genuine time together.

Mountain lodge with a large sunny terrace, cosy lounge with traditional tiled stove, kitchen, ski and boot room, 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 4 toilets and central heating. Starting point for numerous hiking trails and, in winter, located directly on the FIS ski slope of Hauser Kaibling.

Our cancellation policy:
All bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 90 days prior to arrival.
For cancellations made within 90 days before arrival, the following cancellation fees apply:
- 89 to 30 days before arrival: 40% of the total booking amount
- 1 month to 1 week before arrival: 70% of the total booking amount
- During the last week before arrival: 90% of the total booking amount
A deposit of 40% is required at the time of booking and will be charged via online payment.
The remaining balance is to be paid on site either in cash or by direct bank transfer.

Our Dirtler story began a year and a half ago when we took over the family business. However, the history of the Dirtlerhof has been around for more than 400 years.
For 400 years, Dirtlergut has been rooted at Hauser Kaibling in the Ennstal region of Styria, and for three generations, we - the Promok family - have called this place home. This long tradition and history shape every one of our steps. We are firmly connected to the Schladming Dachstein region and nature, and we want to take responsibility for our homeland and future generations: for us, nature is our power place and the most valuable asset. Whether in autumn or winter, every season reveals the unique beauty of the Ennstal and inspires us to act sustainably and preserve the surroundings for generations to come.
