The farm is located in the Upper Styrian region of Murtal, at an altitude of almost 900 metres above sea level. Not exactly typical for fruit growing - and therefore something very special! The farm of KühbreinHof has always had a soft spot for cider and has been producing this favourite drink since 1958. But if you compare the cider of yesteryear with the exclusive cider of today, you will see only few similarities. And they are proud of that, because the most modern cellar technology and continuous further training, have helped to transform the former "Bauerntrunk" (farmere’s drop) into a noble drop. Today, KühbreinMost stands for modern, high-quality cider made from traditional, old apple varieties, bottled and wrapped in extravagant design.
ORIGIN OF FRUIT
Whether Crown Prince Rudolf, Sheep's Nose, Champagne Renette or Krummstiel: the tradition-steeped apple trees, which beautifully flourish in the three-hectare orchard, are tended with much love. And you can taste this love - with every sip of Kühbrein Most.
MANUFACTURING
It is especially important to get the character of the different apple varieties from the orchard into the glass. This requires modern cellar technology. The ciders are fermented and matured exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless-steel barrels until they can proudly be called KühbreinMost.
