About us
Your specialist for bus and group travels
For over 300 years, the property has been synonymous with warm, family-run service and a welcoming atmosphere. Just a short stroll away, guests can explore Murau’s historic centre, including the impressive Schwarzenberg Castle and the renowned “Brewery of the Senses”.
The hotel is an ideal base for a wide range of day trips: from the Benedictine Abbey of St. Lambrecht in the Grebenzen Nature Park, the medieval town of Oberwölz, and Seckau Abbey with the nearby traditional gingerbread bakery Regner, to highlights such as the Red Bull Ring, the provincial capital Graz, the Lipizzaner stud farm in Piber, and the scenic Styrian wine roads. Further excursions include Gurk Cathedral, the Heinrich Harrer Museum, Klagenfurt and Lake Wörthersee, the Wood Museum, or a nostalgic steam train ride on the Murtal Railway.
Back at the hotel, guests are treated to authentic Styrian specialities and Austrian cuisine, complemented by regional wines and beers. Tastings and live music can be arranged on request. For active groups, the programme includes guided cycling and hiking tours, curling, snowshoe hiking, and even unique experiences such as target water shooting or rafting. Culture enthusiasts will appreciate traditional local events throughout the year, including Corpus Christi processions, alpine cattle drives, Advent markets, and the famous “Faschingrennen” (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage).
