Discover the Graz Region
The diverse Graz Region stretches from the Carinthian border in the west via Frohnleiten in the north to Premstätten in the south, with the charming provincial capital of Graz at its heart.
Graz, Austria’s only Capital of Culinary Delights, offers your guests the perfect blend of culture, cuisine and a distinctly southern flair. There is also plenty to discover just outside the city: the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing, the Lurgrotte caves in Peggau and Semriach, the Austrian Sculpture Park, the Schöckl (Graz’s local mountain) and the majestic Lipizzaner horses at the Lipizzaner Stud in Piber, in the heart of Lipizzanerland. Your guests can also unwind on the many cycling and hiking tours that start directly in Graz, combining outdoor activity with regional culinary experiences.
In early summer, the Styrian festival Styriarte fills the region with the sound of music and creates a truly special cultural experience. From summer through to autumn, your guests can look forward to outstanding cultural highlights. Numerous festivals bring the region to life right through to Advent – the start of what is known locally as the fifth season of the year. From the end of November, Graz is transformed into a spectacular world of lights, while just outside the city, Lumagica, the magical illuminated park, creates unforgettable moments. The year culminates in Graz’s spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The combination of city and countryside brings adventure, enjoyment and culinary delights to every holiday. Because that is exactly what your guests deserve: switch off, relax and enjoy your holiday!
