Pichlmoos trail (K2)
Characteristics
SkillThe tour in numbers
The Pichlmoos Trail (K2) is also part of the more than 200 kilometers of cross-country ski trails in the Salzkammergut region. This flat trail, which takes around one hour to complete, is ideal for beginners and leisure skiers who want to gain their first experience in cross-country skiing or simply enjoy a relaxed loop.
Starting at the access point in Pichl, the trail initially follows the Riedlbach River, crosses a bridge, and leads out into the open Pichlmoos area before returning to the starting point. Thanks to its gentle profile, the trail is perfectly suited for both techniques—classic and skating—appealing to recreational skiers as well as more sporty enthusiasts.
Connection with Ödensee Trail
To reach the Ödensee Nature Reserve, the trail can also be combined with the popular Ödensee Trail, which runs directly around Lake Ödensee. This connection transforms the Pichlmoos Trail from a beginner-friendly route into an ideal starting point for an unforgettable cross-country skiing experience immersed in nature.
