Directly in the town center of Altaussee is the traditional restaurant Gasthof Berndl. Special fish dishes are frequently featured on the daily menu, currently a Saibling (char) from the smokehouse is offered, which makes the heart of every connoisseur beat faster.
This special specialty from Ausseerland Salzkammergut, which is traditionally prepared in the smokehouse, is served all day long from the kitchen of the traditional inn Berndl.
For this excellent fish dish, the team at Gasthof Berndl recommends noble, Styrian wines.
