Almfest on the Viehbergalm

When summer shows its most beautiful side in the Ausseerland region, guests and locals come together on the picturesque alpine pastures of the region. Traditionally, this year the popular Almfest and the Bergmesse mountain mass will take place on the idyllic Viehbergalm in Bad Mitterndorf.

Once a year, the barriers at Bad Mitterndorf are opened for this special occasion, allowing all visitors the chance to visit the picturesque Viehbergalm and enjoy an authentic alpine atmosphere.

On this day, not only can mountain bikers and hikers make their way up to the beautiful Almfest, where music and hearty cuisine meet the idyllic alpine landscape and the mountains of Ausseerland .

At 11 o'clock a.m., Pastor Mag. Dr. Michael Unger will hold the Almmesse.

Food and drink as well as good vibes are provided by the Ritzingerhütte, Simeter- and Wirtshütten on the picturesque Viehbergalm.
