SUMMEALLERTEILE & Frohnleitner art mile

The Photo Art Biennale organised by the Professional Association of Visual Artists Styria is taking place in Frohnleiten for the eighth time. In addition to the presence of works by René Vidalli and Leo Weingerl, Robert Rabensteiner, a photo and video journalist from Frohnleiten, will be represented in the exhibition for the first time.

The professional association was founded in 1912 in the Vienna Künstlerhaus as the Central Association of Austrian Visual Artists; in 1950, the old professional association was divided into regional associations. The BVBK promotes cultural exchange and art projects initiated by members or in which members are involved, and endeavours to generate exhibition opportunities at home and abroad in order to publicise the work of its members. Joint exhibitions, including a youth exhibition, are organised five times a year, accompanied by the production of small catalogues. The approximately 130 members work in the fields of painting, graphic art, photography, sculpture, digital art and installation.
