The Bürgeralm is a popular destination and starting point for hikes. It can be reached via a panoramic street or using the double chair lift - with a panoramic route, viewing platform, climbing route and hang glider starting ramp. In the winter, the Bürgeralm offers 3 ski lifts for children and beginners, magnificent natural snow slopes for snowshoe hikers and ski touring enthusiasts as well as a 7 km long prepared valley run for all winter sports fans. The Schießlingalm can also be easily reached via a toll road.

The leisure ponds in Seebach with their swimming and fishing options offer a year-round camping site. The earth station Aflenz, Austria's largest satellite ground station, is also worth a visit. The parish church of St. Peter, mother parish of Mariazell, and the Propstei, a seminar and event centre, are architectural historical gems. During the monthly historical market tours, you can learn about the nearly 1,000-year history of the parish and the market.
