Der Bioweinhof Monschein ist der einzige Schneckenanbieter der Sorte petites gris (kleine Graue), welcher die liebevoll getauften Moschnäk auf der Biowiese unmittelbar neben dem Weingut züchtet und auf die Speisekarte setzt.

Was ursprünglich als Fleischersatz oder Fastenspeise in den Kochtopf kam, erobert heute die Spitzenküche und die Herzen neugieriger Kulinarik-Freunde

The Monschein family has been managing the Demeter Weinhof in Schwabau near Straden with its four surrounding vineyards for 15 years. They take care of their farm based on these strict guidelines and their own understanding of nature and all living beings. Holistic management and action, in harmony with nature, being connected to the vines, the family follows this path with full conviction. Because the best aromas are provided by nature itself.

The loamy, sandy soils of the southeast Styrian volcanic region provide the perfect conditions for the Burgundy, Sauvignon and Muscat varieties.

The family is also a member of the DEMETER umbrella organization, the international supporting organization for biodynamic agriculture. They take care of their farm based on these strict guidelines and their own understanding of nature and all living beings.
