Graz: The City of Culinary Delights

What Graz residents always knew became official in 2008: Graz is a city of culinary delights and is thus one of the "Enjoyment Regions of Austria"! The Enjoyment Regions are an initiative of Agrarmarkt Austria and the Austrian Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management with the objective of making regional agricultural products and specialities even more visible.

But what distinguishes Graz as an enjoyment capital? Like a menu that consists of several well-coordinated courses that first leads to complete enjoyment in their entirety, so too are the various culinary arguments in Graz.

Away from Styrian Wurzelfleisch [pork pot roast] and Backhendel [fried breaded chicken], the great chefs pay homage to a culinary art that caters to curious gourmets as well as trend-oriented connoisseurs. On the menu in the urban centre are also culinary tours, farmers markets or picnics.
