Austrian Roman Wine Road
The Austrian Roman Wine Road runs from Gleisdorf through Hartberg to Bad Waltersdorf while following the 2,000 year old traces of Roman winegrowing. The emblem of the wine road is a wine jug from the 2nd century AD, which was found in a Roman cemetery in Hartensdorf and can be admired at the Färberturm, the Pischelsdorf museum of local history.
Over 70 members run their businesses along the route with care and dedication. They produce delicious wines and regional specialities that are worth a taste.
