EuroVelo 9 - The route & its stages

The cycling route EuroVelo 9 is part of the European Long-distance Cycling Network and connects the Polish Baltic sea coastline with the Croatian Adriatic over 1,930 km. The route runs straight through the heart of Central and Eastern Europe: from Gdansk across Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia to Pula in Croatia.

Here we are showing the already completed section from Blansko/Brno in the Czech Republic to Maribor in Slovenia: it is an enjoyable tour through wine regions, from thermal spring to thermal spring, through the city of Vienna and Styria to Maribor in Slovenia. The bike tour runs past vineyards, through historic towns and past pumpkin and corn fields. The tour is identical to the Thermal Springs Cycling Tour from Vienna to Bad Radkersburg. After that, the EuroVelo 9 runs on the famous Mur Cycling Path for a while in order to branch off in Spielfeld to the south towards Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia.
