The EuroVelo 9 in South Moravia

The route takes us through the South Moravian Karst with the remarkable Macocha Gorge on the way to Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, famous for the UNESCO World Heritage Site Villa Tugendhat. From Brno, the route continues with a view of the Pálava mountains and through vine towns to Mikulov, a medieval town with an imposing Baroque castle and the family tomb of the Dietrichstein.

Running parallel to the Iron Curtain Cycling Path EuroVelo 13 and past the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Castle Lednice and Valtice Castle, we come to the town of Břeclav, which is also called the gateway to Austria.
