In those days, when life without electricity was commonplace, children's days were different from today. Many things are forgotten today, many things have not (yet) been experienced. The annual exhibition "Without Electricity – Life like in the Old Days" provides a wonderful opportunity to go back to the time of our ancestors and playfully face the entertaining tasks on this topic. Simply dive into the valley of history(s).
The Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing is also working very diligently this season on the project "Communicating the historical-ecological significance of wood as a material".
The "Forest Fund" initiative, which is supported by the Austrian federal government, aims to contribute to climate protection, among other things.
The visit to Museumstal is exciting, as children and young people can learn about the various show workshops and be active in hands-on workshops.
For example, they can watch how a shingle is made from wood and attached to the roof by hard-working professionals. In the process, one learns why our forests, which supply the wood, are important and what type of wood we use for the various jobs.
If you've always wanted to know how a wooden fence or a wooden gutter is made, you'll have fun getting answers to your questions at the Austrian Open Air Museum.
