Our today's stage of the hiking route "From glacier to wine" leads us until a few kilometers before Riegersburg on the Spiritual Path, which leads from Kirchberg to Unterlamm through the Thermen- & Vulkanland. Our route, however, is in the opposite direction from east to west. We leave Unterlamm via a meadow path that leads us uphill to the Lang guesthouse. Here we continue along the ridge towards Setzberg. From here we have another beautiful view of the village of Unterlamm. At the Setzberg, the baroque Josefskapelle (St. Joseph's Chapel) with a view of the slopes around Unterlamm invites you to take a break. Continuing along the ridge, partly through beautiful shady forests, the path goes over the Ederberg and Glatzberg via the Thermenlandhof Thierjakl with its beautiful orchard to Hatzendorf, where we should visit the Eat & Art Vinothek Malerwinkl. Parallel on this section from Ederberg to Hatzendorf accompanies us the beekeeper's path.
From Hatzendorf the tour continues for us to the church of St. Peter and Paul, whose patron saint is celebrated on June 29, and over the settlement of Kirchenegg, located on a ridge, in the direction of Unterstang. Here we turn left to go directly to Riegersburg. Although now the view of the Riegersburg attracts us like a magnet, we should still take time to visit the Gölles manufactory for noble brandies & fine vinegar. Afterwards, the path leads us straight to the lovely village of Riegersburg, which nestles against the volcanic cone of the mighty castle, before our next day's stage takes us to Fehring in the Raab Valley.
