The first day of the cycling tour in the Styrian Volcano Country leads from Feldbach via Riegersburg to Eichkögel and back to Feldbach. 
Starting in the town of Vulanland's culture of life, the route passes the Zotter chocolate factory on its way to Riegersburg. On the way to Eichkögl, also called Klein-Mariazell, wonderful views and vistas open up. The Gniebing Chapel, with its magnificent views, is also a place for inner contemplation. Churches and culinary delights alternate on this tour.

8.1 turn right at Backhendlstation Auer (Altenmarkterstraße) towards Altenmarkt
8.6 right downhill (2 hairpin bends)
11,8 Roundabout in Altenmarkt straight on up to Riegersburg
12.5 either left to the castle lift, or straight on to the castle walkway
12.6 Castle tour - castle café - left on B66 towards Ilz
15.1 left towards Genusshotel - follow the road to Lichtenstern
19.8 Lichtenstern at "Most Nestelberger" turn right - then straight ahead
21,0 stay on hilltop - 23,1 left (stay on hilltop)
23.7 Country road L225 - right to Reith near Markt Hartmannsdorf
24,8 left - then straight ahead following the road until km 27,3
27,3 left (hairpin bend!) - straight ahead to km 30 (stay on hilltop)

30,9 left and then straight ahead to Eichkögl

35.2 Mitterfladnitz - left and then straight up the hill

Plan enough time for this tour. The visit of the Zotter chocolate factory, the Riegersburg and Feldbach's old town alley are worthwhile.

 The parking time is 2 hours. Parking in the shopping city of Feldbach is free of charge. A parking meter must be used and is available free of charge at the tourist office.

 

P+R at Feldbach train station (no short-term parking zone). There are numerous parking spaces available.

 

Drive the tour with the GPX data. It is not signposted in the open countryside.
A bike map is available free of charge at the Feldbach Tourist Office.
