As in ancient times, Christoph Feichtl forges iron in the fire with pure muscle power. From the small souvenir to the nobly executed knife, every visitor can even lend a hand and create his own individual souvenir.
All handwork
Since 2013 there is again a forge on the Riegersburg. Not only are fine knives and swords made here, you also have the opportunity to learn the craft yourself in courses and make your own personal masterpiece with professional guidance! On weekends there are demonstrations and children's forging.
The forge is located directly on the Riegersburg. There is an entrance fee for the castle ascent or with the lift, but no entrance fee for the castle forge.
Castle blacksmith Christoph Feichtl
Christoph Feichtl was born in Fürstenfeld in 1990 and has been practicing the craft of knifemaking and weaponsmithing full-time at Riegersburg Castle since 2013. Furthermore, he passes on his knowledge to interested parties at workshops.
