beautiful, shady path to the Kölblalm on the forest path back through the gorge !
the Kölblam is one of the oldest alpine pastures in Styria. The 900-year-old hut used to be a "Schwaige", as the bricked part with the ancient smoking kitchen indicates. Today the Kölblalm is run as an alpine pasture (snack station). It was awarded the "Bio-Alm" label in 2004 and is the only private alpine pasture directly in the Gesäuse National Park.

Wir starten vom Parkplatz Ebnerkreuzung und wandern die Forststraße bis zum Gehöft Ebner. Hier verlassen wir die Straße und folgen nach dem Hof dem schmalen Steig Richtung Wald. Unter dem kühlen Blätterdach führt der Steig stetig bergan und wir erreichen nach ca. 30 Minuten Gehzeit eine Lichtung, auf der wir die Kölblalm erblicken. Wir steigen über den Forstweg einfach durch die Wunderschöne Klamm wieder ab.
dieser Steig empfiehlt sich ganz besonders an einem heißen Sommertag, weil er ausschließlich unter dem Blätterdach des Waldes bis zur Kölblam hinaufführt
