Via Ferrata Sky Walk

You will hardly ever get as close to the sky as with the ‘Sky Walk‘.
This Via Ferrata is among the most difficult in the Eastern Alps. Not only does it take a good deal of courage but it also requires considerable arm strength to scramble up.

Arriving from the west:
From the west you can take the Munich-Salzburg motorway, continuing on the Tauern motorway (A 10) until the Ennstal junction. From here take the Ennstal A-road (the B 320) for around 30 km into the Schladming-Dachstein region, then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off. Drive through the Ramsau Village and then turn left to Dachstein toll road. Continue up to the parking place Türlwand Hütte.
Arriving from the north:
From the south-east take the Pyhrnautobahn motorway (A 9) to the Liezen junction and then the Ennstal A-road (B 320) into the Schladming-Dachstein region. Then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off. Drive through the Ramsau Village and then turn left to Dachstein toll road. Continue up to the parking place Türlwand Hütte.
Approach
From the top of the Dachstein Gondola, hike down to Hunerscharte. Follow the path until you reach the Sky Walk turn-off.
Descent
Ride the Dachstein cable car back down the mountain.
If you have still some motivation afterwards, do the via ferrata of Gjaidstein.

Mostly cloudy with occasional sunny spells. Light snowfall will start in the afternoon.
Prolonged snowfall throughout the day. Dry periods will be rare.
