From the town hall few meters back into the direction you came from and turning to the Loser Panoramastraße we start the tour in direction to the Blaa Alm passing as well the climbing park. Then to the right and again left to the valley "Rettenbachtal". At this part there is a graveled road, take care of big stones. Via a tunnel you reach then the mountain pasture "Rettenbachalm".

After about 2,3 kilometers turn to the left via a bridge to the Grabenbach. From then on always upwards above the river "Grabenbach", passing the hut there and after a flat part left upwards to the "Hütteneckalm". At this oint ends the forest road and a mountainbike track leads you to the mountain pasture with its hut "Hütteneck-Hütte". From this inn steep downwards  you reach again a forest road, which you will follow to a taramac road while ignoring all turns. Already on the taramac road in the forest you turn to the left in direction of the Halleralm. Above the Halleralm leads a way to a graveled road from the valley. We follow this road to its end and take then a small path to the right which takes us to the river  "Michlhallbach", which we cross via a small bridge. Again we reach a forest road, where on the left side you will find the archaeological site of the Roman Age.

Straight ahead until the end of the road, a path downwards to the area called "Waldgraben". The restaurant there remains closed. Straight ahead to the crossing of the forest roads, halt to the left all the way to the turn towards the castle ruin and downwards to the area called "Rambühel". From then aon follw the taramac road to the village Altaussee. At the former restaurant "Scheichlmühle" turn to the left in order to go to the lake. After maybe enjoying a bath on a hot summer day in the lake you carry on to the church and back to the parking on the opposite site of the town hall.

Brief walk to the castle ruin enjoying the breathtaking view!
