Plöschkogel
Open
A snowshoe hike in the Erzberg Leoben region takes us to a small mountain with a big view: from the valley floor of the Eisenerzer Ramsau to the Plöschkogel (1668 m).
The Eisenerz Ramsau, known as a Nordic winter sports center, is a wide valley at about 1000 meters above sea level, which can be reached via the town of Eisenerz. On beautiful winter days, numerous winter sports enthusiasts gather here to take advantage of the "snow-sure" area for their outdoor activities. The snowshoe hike to the Plöschkogel is becoming more and more popular, as the tour is easy to walk on a path of about 4.7 km over a prepared forest road, up to an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. In the summit area a wonderful snowshoe landscape opens up, which combines peace and well-being for body, mind and soul.

We start at the parking lot Lasitzen (1), 1013 m and follow the hiking trail 679/673 or the prepared trail slightly uphill, which is used by ski tourers, snowshoe hikers, sledders and winter hikers alike. Continuously the trail goes uphill along the forest road. At the Lasitzen Jagdhaus (2), 1158 m, we pass and after about 700 meters we reach a crossroads where the ski touring trail continues straight on to the Kragelschinken, among others. We keep to the right and follow the prepared forest road. After a short while, the trail goes slightly downhill before we follow the steady ascent, which runs in numerous serpentines. The fantastic view of the numerous steps of the Erzberg and the striking Kaiserschild is a delight, so we stop and linger again and again. Before we reach the Zwiegraben hut, we branch off to the right from the groomed trail and orient ourselves to the ascent tracks, which lead across a snow track to our destination, the Plöschkogel (3), 1668m.
The descent would also be possible for experienced snowshoe hikers via the crossroads "Blauer Herrgott" and the Zwiegrabenhütte.
