Ennstalbundesstraße (B320) - Haus im Ennstal:
The great difference in altitude can be comfortably overcome with the Schladminger Tauern cable car or Hauser Kaibling cable car & chair lift Quattralpina. A wonderful view over the entire upper Ennstal awaits us. From the top station it goes slightly uphill for a few minutes, where the "Schafsinn-Rundweg" turns off to the left directly next to the TV station. There we will soon see the big "Schafbox", the actual starting point of the circular hiking trail. It is continuously signposted and then leads in a slight up and down clockwise direction around the Hauser Kaibling to the Rossfeld saddle. From there it goes slightly downhill to the Kaiblingalm. This is easily accessible for families with baby carriages from the other side via the forest path, through which we also reach the top station of the cable car again.
The circular hiking trail consists of two sections:
wonderful panoramic view and refreshment facilities
Viewing platforms with seats and information boards about the project and the surrounding mountains.
Postbus (L900) - Exit: Haus Ort oder Hauser Kaibling Seilbahn
between end of May and mid October: Planaibus (Line: Schladming - Haus - Steirischer Bodensee)
Safety on the mountainside: changes in the weather, sudden fall in temperature, thunder storms, wind, fog and snow fields are all objective dangers and require the correct behaviour whilst underway. the landlords of the huts are all very knowledgeable about the mountains and can give you good tips about the weather and the routes. Insufficient equipment, exaggerated opinion of ones capabilities, frivolousness, poor health condition and a false evaluation of the situation can lead to a critical situation. In thunder storms: summits, crest-sites and safety rope aids are to be avoided.
