The hunt is female
The historical development of this theme begins already in prehistoric times, continues in mythology with the hunting goddess Diana and the enchanted Actaeon and shows us on the basis of selected personalities, how the hunt has developed. In the present, the proportion of women in hunting is increasing from year to year. We also investigate the question of what distinguishes a hunter from a hunter in terms of motivation or whether there is no difference. This special exhibition is framed by the cycle Diana and Actaeon by the Styrian artist Gerald Brettschuh. Current developments and discussions away from the high seat and wildlife habitats, the reproduction behavior of wild animals and the resulting social consequences in the animal world complete the topic.
