We are organic!
Warm and regional dishes all day with products from our own hunting and organic farming. Organic cheese sales daily from May to October directly at the hut or from the farm after advance booking by telephone +43 676 633 54 56.
On our organic farm in Altenberg an der Rax and on our alpine pasture we work in harmony with nature. The core idea of organic farming is a closed and natural cycle between humans, animals and nature.

The hut is open from the beginning of May to the end of October - depending on the weather!

This ecological economy is reflected in our products through the unique taste, which among other things has its origin in the biodiversity of the alpine meadows with its unique grasses and herbs.

Opening hours

The Lurgbauerhütte is open daily from May to October. However, in bad weather it is advisable to call the hut keepers in advance to find out the exact opening times.
