Gemeindealpe Mitterbach is THE ski area for winter sports enthusiasts on the lookout for fun, action and variety and keen to escape the daily grind. And while towns and villages are sometimes enveloped in winter mist, the Gemeindealpe offers some of the loveliest panoramic views in the entire region. Under the slogan: enjoy unique views while leaving your tracks in the snow.
Pure variety
Two modern chairlifts and two tow lifts serve 15.5 km of superbly groomed slopes sure to delight discerning winter sports enthusiasts. The steepest run in Lower Austria (74% gradient), the coolest snow park and a fabulous fun slope are sure to make the hearts of skiing and snowboard fans skip a beat. Meanwhile, deep powder fans will be in their element in the freeride zones in the summit area. Ski hire facilities, a shop and a ski school complete the offering.
Inviting mountain lodges
And naturally sustenance is provided for visitors too. The modern Terzerhaus mountain restaurant (including a panoramic view), the traditional "Zum Bäreneck" guest house and the quaint and rustic "s’Balzplatzerl" lodge all go the extra mile to make guests welcome.
