The 1st Austrian Carnival Museum and Museum of Customs is located in Knittelfeld
The 1st Austrian Carnival and Customs Museum "Alois Penz Museum" presents about 5,000 exhibits and 2,000 carnival medals of the international and Austrian carnival on an exhibition area of almost 400 m².
Carnival uniforms, dance costumes, carved masks, witch costumes, medals, caps and much more are among the exhibits.
In addition to the sale of carnival medals, children have the opportunity to dress up and make up on site.
The museum can be visited at any time by appointment.
