The bike tour to recharge your batteries for the whole family. With breathtaking nature experiences in the Bärental, but also fun and exciting lingering at children's playgrounds, culinary delights at Buschenschänken and much more.

The FunErgy Tour is an energy experience tour for the whole family and leads from Weiz via St. Ruprecht to Gleisdorf and back. The tour starts at the main square of the district capital, the centre of the energy region. A city that is extremely innovative, full of joyfull life and has many attractions to offer.

Tabor Church, Radmannsdorf Castle, Weizberg Church, Art House, Gemini House, Funergy Park, Innovation Centre, Archimedes Wheel, Spiritual Path. Historical buildings contrast with innovative future projects.

Outside the city limits, the Bärental awaits cyclists with its extensive meadows and the murmur of the Raab.

St. Ruprecht invites you to linger with its baroque church, the Peace Grotto, Foucault's Pendulum, the old river baths on the Raab and the healing Stefanien Spring.

The tour continues leisurely through the Albersdorf valley to Gleisdorf, the solar capital of Europe, a town where people rely on renewable energy and encounter signs of the sun all around. The Road of Solar Energy invites you to take round trips full of discoveries and offers numerous opportunities to explore alternative sources of power. The solar wave pool provides cooling for young and old.

Parallel to the main road, a secured cycle path leads to the community of Nitscha, the wine-growing community of the energy region. A place full of juice and power, where the proximity of the sun allows the grapes to flourish to sweet ripeness. And where creative winemakers produce fine wines that can be enjoyed in the rustic Buschenschänken.

With the FunErgy tour, the culinary specialities of Eastern Styria can be experienced in a leisurely yet sporty way. Strengthened, the tour continues through the hilly countryside, where apples thrive and where the Styrian Apple Road begins.

An area that is just as attractive in spring - when everything is bathed in a sea of white and pink blossoms - as it is in autumn, when the fruits laugh green, yellow and red from the trees.

The municipality of Unterfladnitz embellishes the FunErgy tour with lots of nature and greenery, where those products are planted by capable farmers, which are then processed by the farms in the plain and exported halfway around the world.

The wonderful route continues through the forest into the green space of Krottendorf, which focuses on quality of life close to nature. Old farms and young homes complement each other harmoniously. A special gem is the enchanting "Garden of Generations" pond complex, where you can rest one more time in beautiful surroundings shortly before the end of the tour.

After such a sporty excursion, you deserve a little fun: you can find it at the Energie-Erlebnis-Bad Weiz. In the outdoor pool heated with solar energy, a spacious children's play area, a giant slide, a current channel and a 3-metre tower await you. A perfect end to the bike tour, so that you can visit an event at the Weizer Kunsthaus in the evening, freshly refreshed.
