In a quiet area of Pusterwald, a small mountain village in Styria, two cosily furnished flats await you in the former priest's and sacristan's house of Pusterwald, with fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom, private access, private garden with quiet living room and screened lawn. Due to their size, with space for 6 people each, our flats are suitable for 2 families who want to spend their holidays together or for groups of hikers, cyclists and Nordic walkers. If you come as a couple or a trio, you will appreciate the luxury of having plenty of space.

History

The beginning of the church can no longer be determined in a document. It is assumed that the first building was erected in the middle of the 14th century.

The construction of the sacristan's house must have begun around this time. The house served as accommodation for the hypnotist and as overnight accommodation for the parish priest - the chaplain. It should be mentioned that at this time he was responsible for the ecclesiastical care of the parish of St. Oswald. The arrival of the shepherd on horseback was difficult and lengthy. Visits were only scheduled a few times a year. However, the existence of a church required the appointment of a person who was responsible for maintaining the church's sacristan and ringing the prayer bell several times a day.

The "Zech" people were entrusted with the administration of the church and had the power to manage the income of the church property and to make property transfers.
The oldest documented mention of a property transaction dates from 1532 and was signed by Count Montfort. In the order of 1580, the "Zechleut von Pusterwald" is recorded with an interest of 12 pfennigs. The oldest written record is found in a control register from 1572. This year, the Zechleut had to pay the "smoke money" for the use of the fireplace in the house 10ss 1SS from the church office in Pusterwald. In the Urbar of 1589 it is documented that the money interest of 12 pence and
7 pfennig pen for the agricultural use of the "Mülwiesen".

The "Wirth", i.e. the owner of the opposite Amtshaus and the Wirtstube, was endowed in the 16th century. The herdsman is a "Kuchlgartl", which is still adjacent to the house today.
