The Alpenhotel Lanz has been family-owned since 1981 and is run by Birgit and Günter Lanz. Chef Birgit is responsible for the physical well-being (head chef) and Günter Lanz for the service. Traditional dishes from Styria and the region are cooked in the hotel. In autumn and spring there are always additional speciality days and in summer there are barbecue festivals with music and atmospheric evenings on New Year's Eve.

The Weinstüberl is a great place to chat about business. A seminar room is also offered and gladly used.

The breakfast terrace with a view into the garden, where some of our animals, many flowers and herbs are at home, invites you to a cosy get-together. There is a lot to discover around our farm: a campfire site, a bathing barrel at the Leitn, a small stream, a natural pond and many beautiful hiking trails. In the barn there is a swing, a table football and table tennis table, a pool table, e-bikes and the possibility to jump in the hay. Directly on our farm there is a restaurant, a farm café and a farm shop with many different agricultural products. Horses, ponies, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, pigs, cats, a peacock and our three dogs are happy to spoil you every day and of course the Steiner family will gladly accept any help in the stable and with feeding and caring for the animals. Enjoy the diverse excursion possibilities in the Murtal adventure region, both in summer and winter.
