On the border between Styria and Carinthia, the ruins of Dürnstein castle, built in the 11th century by Duke Henry III of Carinthia, are located on a rocky outcrop. Today, revitalized, it serves as a place of encounter. Weddings, festivities or legendary evenings in this ambience are special experiences and allow you to immerse yourself in long past times.

In the summer months "castle adventures" takes place on certain days.

Castle Adventure:
Journey back in time to the Middle Ages – dive into the world of the lords and the lady of the castle. There are no limits to the imagination when roaming through the castle buildings. After the barbecue at the campfire, legends and exciting stories about the castle are told. And maybe even a ghost of the castle is hiding in the thick walls.
