Challenging scenic route with a beautiful approach along the Krumpenbach and then a steady climb over the Mitterberg and Weidau to Kurzheim or over the Putzenberg.
Varied tour for the experienced biker with a balanced altitude profile and great views of the city and mountains. Since 2019 with new routing via the Weidau, Gladen and Kurzheim and omission of the steep descent to the Gößmühle. Many natural highlights along the route, numerous refreshment stops and access to the city center including shopping.

Drive on the B115 from Leoben in the direction of Vordernberg and take the exit Hafning/Krumpenloipe. Directly at the exit you will find the parking lot of the Krumpenloipe.
The starting point of this tour is at the
parking lot of the Krumpenloipe directly on the bypass road in Hafning. From here, the tour continues along the Krumpenbach stream on a scenic route with mountain framing to the Hirnalm parking lot, where the route branches off to the left. The tour now climbs steadily in the forest to 935 m and at the highest point offers an excellent view of the Trofaiach basin and the city. Via the new routing (since 2019) you get with a left branch via Weidau and Wasserbassin to Gladen and further to Kurzheim. We now follow the Gößgrabenstraße with great views of the Reiting massif to the Gößmühle, where the route now takes a left turn back to Gimplach and leads to the Putzenberg. The way back runs out of the valley to the railroad crossing at the sports hall and with a strong left bend again along the railroad line to the starting point.
The route runs 2% on off-road paths and 98% on secondary roads. The nature of these roads and paths are divided into 44% asphalt and 56% gravel.
