To the fairy tale meadow and to the Reithkogel

This very varied and leisurely circular hike takes us through green forests to the fairy tale meadow, with beautiful viewpoints around the Reithkogel.
In the first section of the trail, on the Fairy Tale Meadow, fairy tale characters and their stories inspire us - from Snow White to the Frog King, every story is told here. The second part of the circular hike is dominated by beautiful vantage points in eastern Styria and leads you back to Fischbach via the Fairy Tale Meadow.

From Vienna: Via the A2 southern motorway and the S6 Semmering motorway to the Kindberg exit. Here through the Stanzertal valley on the Schanzsattel-Landesstraße L114 to Fischbach.
From Graz: Via the Weizer-Bundesstraße B72 to Birkfeld and from here via the Schanzsattel-Landesstraße L114 to Fischbach.
From Linz/Salzburg/Munich: Via the A9 Pyhrn motorway and the S6 Semmering motorway to the Kindberg exit. Continue as above.

- We start at the village square in Fischbach and walk leisurely to the elementary school
- Between the elementary school and the cemetery we turn right to the Roseggersiedlung and follow the hiking trail number 1.
- We walk uphill along the asphalt road until we reach a forest and a meadow surrounded by fairy tale figures.
- We can turn the fairy tale path to the left to discover even more fairy tale figures
- We cross the meadow and continue on a forest path until we reach the Finsterloch cross
- From there we go straight on until we come to a crossroads where we turn right.
- Now we are on the path n. 15
- We go around the so-called Reithkogel on a forest path
- We follow the path until we come back to the Finsterloch cross
- From there we go back the same way until we reach the village square Fischbach
At the end of the Roseggersiedlung there is the possibility to take the fairy tale path to the left to explore even more fairy tales. This also leads to the fairy tale meadow.
There is plenty of parking at the starting point at the village square in Fischbach.
