From hut to hut in the Gesäuse National Park.

The Gesäuse Hüttenrunde leads in a large circle through the Gesäuse National Park and knows how to put its trademark "steep rock and wild water" breathtakingly in scene. Its ascent is technically moderate (red marked mountain trails) but requires some stamina and experience. The overall requirement is a bit higher than those of its famous neighbor, the Lynx Trail, especially because no luggage transport can be offered on the Hüttenrunde. Whether in one piece - that means at least eight daily stages - or in shorter sections, the Gesäuse Hüttenrunde will open up the unique magic of the mountain landscape in the national park with the slowing down and inner calm necessary for long-distance hikers. The starting and ending point for the Hüttenrunde is the historic town Admont with its magnificent Benedictine monastery and the comfort of a modern tourist destination. A welcome reward after the eventful efforts of the previous days.
