In the nature adventure park "Keltenberg" you can find mountain adventures of all kinds.

At the high point of the historic pass road, southwest of the village of Hohentauern, visitors will find an impressive natural landscape with a plateau at over 1,000 metres consisting of mountain pastures, high moors and small lakes. Surrounded by mountain forest and the peaks of the Niedere Tauern. The perfect place for a nature adventure park, open from May to October. This pass at the "Triebener Tauern" was already used as a trade route by the Celts more than 2000 years ago. At the Keltenberg you have the opportunity to gain insights into the life of the Celts in and with nature. All stations are designed with local natural materials.

The forest path invites you to balance on the tree trunks, touch the stones and drink the water. Sharpen your senses....

On the water trail you can experience and understand nature at various stations such as the barefoot trail, the spider's web or the water crossings. Discover the unique animal and plant trails on site. The trails are suitable for prams.

Discover and hike through the rock and cave world. Through the illuminated Barbara gallery you reach the rock arena in the former magnesite mining area. In the belly of the mountain you will find the Magnesite Dome, a huge cave room with a stage and infrastructure for special events. The path through the gallery to the Great Cathedral is barrier-free! Guided tours through the gallery can be booked by telephone with Mr. Bernd Horn +43 660 166 3006.

You can easily reach the start of the giant slide that leads down to the entrance (kiosk) via the "Himmelsstiege". This offers information about Hohentauern, light refreshments and you can also get your equipment for the giant slope slide - the longest in Styria!

Opening hours

From May to October it is possible to visit the Nature Adventure Park. In July and August, weather permitting, the kiosk is open daily from 11:00-16:00, otherwise only on weekends.

Possible in any weather! Suitable for small children to seniors! Jacket for the studs is recommended! 3x exit into the open air! The path is at ground level and wide (400mx2). Beside the normal guidance with 1,5h, there is still the shorter with 1h or longer with 2h or 2,5h! The respective guide price is to be inquired simply without obligation. In addition to the guide price is the entrance fee to the nature adventure park to pay.
