Swiss trac rental
About the offer
Travelling in the National Park with Swiss-Tracs (traction equipment with wheelchairs)
To make sure that wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility can also experience the untouched nature of the Gesäuse National Park, you can rent so-called Swiss Tracs at the visitor center Weidendom. These are traction devices for wheelchairs, which, after a short training period, are easy to operate and can cover a distance of about 25 km on a level track at a speed of up to 6 km/h. Nothing stands between you and an extended walk, including nature experience and a well-deserved Kaiserschmarren at one of the alpine huts in the national park!
There is a specially marked handicapped parking spot directly next to the visitor centre Willow Dome with the coordinates: 469.220 East; 5.269.820 North (UTM 33N).
For further information please contact the information office in Admont (+43 3613 21160 20) or call +43 664 8252318 or directly here Swiss-Tracs.
