Study Trips 2026: Experience Styria through the Four Elements

Invitation to our 2026 Study Trips

Two programmes and countless experiences for your travel portfolio

In autumn 2026, our study trips will be all about the four elements. Two varied programmes will take you to different regions of Styria, each with its own distinctive character.

From 18 to 20 October 2026, our “Water & Ice” programme will take you to northern Styria, a region characterised by impressive mountain landscapes and crystal-clear lakes. From 5 to 8 November 2026, “Fire & Air” will take you to Graz and the south of Styria, where volcanic soils provide the foundation for exceptional culinary experiences. The trip will culminate in a hot-air balloon ride, taking you high into the skies above Styria.

Please note that both tours will be conducted exclusively in German.

Study Trip “Water & Ice” – Northern Styria

The trip kicks off with a cable car ride to Schafalm on Planai. At the rustic mountain hut at an altitude of 1,800 metres, you will enjoy live music and spectacular mountain views. The day comes to an end with a dinner together at the Hotelerlebniswelt Stocker in Rohrmoos.

On Monday, hop on an e-bike and cycle approximately 30 kilometres along the Enns River to Trautenfels Castle. Over lunch, you will gain insights into the tourism opportunities at Tauplitz. Staying true to the “Water & Ice” theme, another highlight awaits in the afternoon: a boat trip on Lake Grundlsee.

Day three starts with a hike following in the footsteps of the popular TV series “Die Bergretter” (The Mountain Rescue Team). The grand finale is a ride up to the Dachstein at 2,995 metres. The Ice Palace and Suspension Bridge promise spectacular views and unforgettable experiences.
