Schafalm Planai

Surrounded by green alpine meadows and offering unforgettable panoramic views of the Dachstein massif and the Enns Valley, the Schafalm welcomes your guests in a truly unique setting. This rustic mountain hut with its sunny terrace is known for its cosy atmosphere and delicious culinary specialities. We are also happy to organise traditional alpine evenings featuring a classic “Pfandl menu” and live music.

A wide range of activities and attractions make the Planai a popular excursion destination for visitors of all ages. Throughout the year, numerous events also take place, including:

Sunday morning gatherings every Sunday from 11.00 am
Large alpine festivals with seasonal culinary specialities in July, August and September
Herbal Witches Festival on 15 August with herb stalls, guided herb walks and herb blessings
