At the Schermer huts

Three new or renovated alpine huts with a total of four accommodation units for up to twelve people are located directly in the hiking and skiing area of the Tauplitzalm at 1.650 meters above sea level.

They were built with local woods and offer a cozy atmosphere for young and old. The cross-country ski trails pass directly by the accommodation and the ski slope is only 100 meters away. In summer, access is possible with your own car and in winter the parking lot is 250 meters away.

All cabins are equipped with kitchen, bathroom with shower/toilet and two dormitories. The quiet location near the forest is the ideal starting point for many hikes across the largest lake plateau in Central Europe.

Conditions

The ascent is from Bad Mitterndorf via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road. (subject to toll)
In summer you can drive up to the accommodation. In winter, the car must be left at the parking lot on the Tauplitzalm. You will be picked up from there and brought to the hut.

via the A2 Südautobahn, the S6 to St. Michael, continue on the A9 Phyrn-Autobahn, take the Liezen exit to the Trautenfels junction - turn off to Ausseerland

from direction Vienna, Linz

via the A1 Westautobahn, take the Regau exit as far as Gmunden, continue on the B145 as far as Bad Ischl, turn off into Ausseerland/Liezen

from Salzburg

via the Tauernautobahn A10, exit at Golling, continue on B162 in the direction of Lammertal, past Abtenau to Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen

from direction Carinthia

via the A10 Tauernautobahn, take the Eben exit, continue on the B99 in the direction of Hüttau, past St. Martin am Tennengebirge to Rußbach and Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
