St. Urban is the patron saint of wine. He enjoys great popularity in the wine-growing regions of the southwest of Eastern Styria.

On the Sunday before or the Sunday after, depending on which day St. Florian's Day falls on, St. Florian, patron saint of firemen, is celebrated.
Today this tradition is kept up mainly by associations, inn landlords and villages, but it has not completely disappeared in the private sphere.
